Partial Solar Eclipse

On Thursday 10th June 11:27 – 12:25 – 13:26 Darmstadt (most of western Europe) will be able to see a PARTIAL sun eclipse, of course only observable with right approach. NEVER directly with your eyes!!

Additionally, we have plenty of ISS Fly-overs these days in case interested – e.g. today – quite bright ones!

  1. 22:16:29: It comes from West and passes quite high over the norther part of the sky (between the two dippers) and sets pretty much east.
  2. 23:53:12: Also rises West, but passes lower over soutwestern sky, setting South east near the moon (it fades before reaching the Moon)

If you never tried, it is as bright as the Venus evening planet, gently, but clearly moving over the sky over a time of 3-4 minutes (sometimes fades prior to the set)

Enjoy and let us know, if you saw it!

Pray to Galileo for clear skies!
